Can I fill out a PDF form?
Yes. Open a PDF with interactive form fields and tap a field to fill it in directly in the app. When you're done, export the completed form.
How do I search for text in my PDF?
Open the search bar in the editor, type a word or phrase to find it in your document, and optionally replace it in place — the surrounding text keeps its layout.
How do I highlight text?
Select the highlighter, then drag across the passage you want to highlight. Choose the highlight color and opacity, and move or remove a highlight at any time.
How does OCR work?
Tap OCR on the home screen and pick a photo or PDF of a scanned document. PDFCrab recognizes the text on-device and turns it into real, selectable, editable PDF text instead of a flat image. Tap any highlighted word in the result to correct it before saving. You can process files one at a time or in bulk, and save as separate files or merged into one PDF.
Does OCR support languages other than English?
Yes. Text editing and OCR both recognize Cyrillic and CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) scripts in addition to Latin.
Can I export a PDF to other formats?
Yes. Tap Export to turn any PDF into a TXT file, an audio narration, page images, a Word document, or a PowerPoint — directly on your device. This works for every PDF, not just scanned ones.
How do I reorder or delete pages?
Tap Manage Pages on the home screen. Drag pages into a new order, select pages to remove from the thumbnail grid, then save when you're ready.
Can I add page numbers, rotate pages, or change the page size?
Yes. Open Page Tools from the editor to add page numbers in the position you choose, rotate any page, and switch between Standard and Letter page sizes — with a one-tap way back to the original size.
Can I edit password-protected PDFs?
Yes. You will be prompted to enter the password when opening the file. The file stays encrypted after editing. You can also add, remove, or change the password from the PDF Password screen.
How do I merge PDFs?
Tap Merge PDFs on the home screen, pick two or more files, reorder pages if needed, then tap Merge. The result is saved as a new file.
What PDF features are supported?
Form filling, text search and replace, text highlighting, text editing and repositioning, image and vector object editing, OCR for scanned documents, page reordering and deletion, page numbers, page rotation, page size conversion, PDF merging, password management, and export to TXT, audio, images, Word, and PowerPoint.
Does PDFCrab upload my files?
No. All processing — including OCR — happens on-device. Your files never leave your device.
